Mission
The mission of the Oil Sands Student Delegation (OSD) is to provide an annual trip to Fort McMurray for University of Alberta student leaders. This trip is designed to expose student leaders to the various issues and stakeholders involved in Oil Sands development. By encouraging this inter-group dialogue, young leaders will have the chance to become well versed in various perspectives regarding oil sands development.
Vision
Our vision is to empower the University of Alberta’s student leaders as a meaningful voice in the Oil Sands discussion. Through promotion of this trip we want to provide student leaders the opportunity to interact with important figures and stakeholders in Oil Sands development. Our long term vision is to increase the number of students attending this trip, and to encourage and assist other schools in Alberta in developing Fort McMurray trips.
